If there is a room in the house that is overlooked, it is the bathroom. It doesn't mean much to you, but how often do you invite a guest to use your bathroom and congratulate you on how beautiful the decor was? When you need a moment to relax and enjoy a hot bath or a luxurious bubble bath, does your bathroom feel like a spa?

True, we are a cleaning company in the Toronto region, so we have obviously cleaned many bathrooms. Over time, we have taken notes: things we love, ideas to make you feel calmer and more serene and the little things that illuminate your space and make you feel more like a room in your home instead of an awkward 'area' of your home.

As always, we want to give you some tips to make your bathroom look amazing!

Playful bath curtains and cheeky bath mats

White is cleaning, nice, bright and ... vanilla. Your shower curtain does not have to be exaggerated or overwhelming, but prints and designs can really go a long way. If something on the bolder side is too much for you, you can try a solid color for a color blocking effect. Boring bath mats are totally out this year. The bathroom is already the end of all the jokes (pun), so you could have fun too! Cheeky bath mats are all the rage right now and fun bath mats are not lacking but in good taste to make things fun.

Moisture-loving plants

I bet you still didn't think about this! Plants make each space feel better, so why not include bringing them to the bathroom? From succulents to larger lush plants, these green types can make your bathroom feel less remote from your home.

The cabinets do not have to be white

Again, we return to white, but it seems to be a popular option for this room. Everything else in your bathroom is white, so why not paint your closets, for example, pastel pink, lavender egg blue or lavender? You would be surprised at the beautiful impact it can have.

Replace the mirror

Those common wall mirrors are great for seeing yourself, your shower, and the window behind you and everything else in the bathroom at the same time, but they aren't decorating your decor. Replace the mirror with a fashion framed mirror. You will love the difference!

Towels, soap and simple toiletries

Hand towels and bath towels should never be spared. Splurge on the most expensive luxury. They feel better, they look better and the guests appreciate them more. You only have to buy an additional pair of each and save them for the guests if you are working on a budget. Guest soaps may seem a bit 80/90, but they still exist, and they are very useful! Places like Lush, Bath and Body Works and independent soap companies will have excellent options. Also, leave some additional toiletries for guests to use as they wish. The samples of products and perfumes / colognes are perfect to leave in a jar or plate, just in case!
